airshade is a League of Legends statistics site. It lets anyone look up a player by Riot ID and see that player’s rank and recent matches. This page explains what data airshade handles and why. airshade is a non-commercial project — it carries no advertising, sells nothing, and runs no third-party analytics.
What airshade collects
When you look up a player
airshade requests public game data (account, summoner, ranked standings, match history) from the Riot Games API and caches it briefly to stay within Riot’s rate limits. This is public information about the account you searched for — not about you. It is not tied to your identity and is not shared with anyone.
When you sign in with Discord
Signing in is optional. If you do, airshade stores:
- your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL;
- your email address (from Discord);
- OAuth tokens from Discord, and a session record with the IP address and browser user-agent of the request that created it.
A single session cookie keeps you signed in. airshade sets no other cookies.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Cached game data and operational logs: our legitimate interest in running the site and staying within Riot’s API limits. Account and session data: necessary to provide the sign-in you requested.
How long it’s kept
- Cached Riot data: minutes to 30 days, then re-fetched or dropped.
- Server logs (request path, status, timing): about 7 days.
- Session records: 7 days, or until you sign out.
- Account records: until you request deletion or revoke airshade’s Discord authorization.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — hosting and CDN (the site runs as a Cloudflare Worker).
- Neon — the database that stores account and session records (EU region, Frankfurt).
Data is also exchanged with Riot Games (game data source — their Terms of Service) and Discord (sign-in — their Privacy Policy). airshade does not sell data and shares it with no one else.
Your rights
You can ask what data airshade holds about your account and request its deletion at any time — email support@airshade.net. You can also revoke airshade’s access from your Discord account settings, which stops any further sign-in.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it.
